Hi guys.
It's time for me to buy winter tyres for my D4. For real winter condition which one is the best ?
Goodyear Ultra Grip + SUV 255/55 R19 111H XL
WR G2 Sport Utility 255/55 R19 111V XL
Pirelli Scorpion ICE + SNOW 255/55 R19 111H XL RB RBL
Vredestein Wintrac 4 xtreme 255/55 R19 111V XL
Continental ContiCrossContact Winter 255/55 R19 111V XL
Thanks

Take a look at the 2011 Auto Bild 4X4 Winter Tyre Test results. Here's the link:
http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Article/2011-...e-Test.htm
From the tyres on your list, the Goodyear is the highest scoring.

In the Auto bild test The Goodyear is the second of the list.
I want to know if the Verdenstein Wintrac 4 Extreme are good for UK road condition or they are also a good choice for bulgarian, romanian & ucrainian roads. (ice & a lot of snow).

I would feel very confident with the Vredestein........at the end of the day snow is snow and ice is ice.
We have sold more Vredestein Wintrac 4 Xtreme tyres than any other winter tyre and have no negative feedback on these tyres, some users are running them all year round with no problems.

The top 2 tyres in the Auto Bild test both scored 24 points out of a maximum of 30. From the list of tyres in your first post(which doesn't include the Dunlop), the Goodyear scored the highest.
The Dunlop scored 10/10 for use on snow.
In the UK the weather varies considerably. I live in the West country and even in the two recent severe winters, snow was on the roads for only a few days. Yet in parts of Scotland, there could be snow covered roads for weeks on end.

Only the roads that are declared as not beng cleared or gritted, only one man and a dog tend to live up them. Even minor roads are cleared up here pretty quickly, the real challenge can be getting onto or off the road.
Re the Autobild test I'd go for the Goodyears as performance is best in wet & dry and still very good in the snow.

I've had the Good Year Ultra Grip on the front of my D3 for the last few months, they seem to be a good alternative for the Wrangler. Nice smooth ride and no tyre noise. They work fine for my needs which are a combination of road and wet grass/muddy off road driving.
