My factory fitted Scorpions done 23k now (front) and need replacing, the rear ones still a good 5-6k to go. I think a good all-round tyres

BTW, anyone can recommend a good tyre fitter in Sussex?

Cheers

Maybe the rain, wet roads, road surfaces are different where you live.....I found the original tyres scorpions not the best....I would even go as far to say the second worst I have used (the worst being some budget Uniroyals fitted to a 5 series beemer....one emegency stop wrote off two tyres.

Just be cautios something happens to these tyres at elevated k's of miles they arent good in the wet at all...dont be caught out not being able to stop when you need to...this isnt checked at MOT.
Its your judgment call.
 BREXIT - done properly.

FL2 has DIPSTICK..."real comfort in rear seats"
VW Golf wondermobile (?)..has real DIPSTICK
Morris Minor..original DIPSTICK technology..and a real KEY.

BLFarrar is 100% right.

My factory fitted Scorpions were quite dreadful, and worn out by 9k miles.

I changed to GG AT2s at 9k miles, and have done c. 40 miles on them since. IMHO a really good all round tyre & great value for money - it looks like my set of 4 will do c. 60k miles before needing to be replaced.

I've tried others and have gone back to scorpions. Like them for on road spirited driving, but don't really go off road. They do tramlines at end of life but handle well.

I've dealt with Andy at AJS in the past if you are to the north of Sussex or try DTS in Worthing who Have always been very good to me.
