Coast to Coast via Green Lanes
The plan was to travel from the west coast to the east coast using as many green lanes as we could, so we set off bright an early on Friday morning from the North East and headed for the West Coast. We camped at a friends farm on the Friday night and continued on Saturday crossing into Yorkshire. Unfortunately I got called away on Saturday night leaving the others to complete their journey on Sunday. On High Tilberthwaite I managed to put a rip into the sidewall of one of my GG AT's and the green 90 managed to snap a rear shocker It was however a brilliant weekend with some great company and I'm sure we will have another crack at it soon

Great pics, they really make me want to take the trip. It's amazing that you actually have enough greenlanes to allow you to go across the country. In our country you'll get arrested if you drive 2 feet of the main road..

The way to do it to minimise soggy feet is drive upto the gate and drop the gate boy off and then reverse as the gate opens into the river. It was that high though that I still jumped out into a foot of water Club Exped trailer

Can't imagine why it's called Lady Anne's Way...
Looks like a cracking trip, would love to see the itinerary for it. Shame you didn't complete the run though.
How long do you reckon to do the full trip? Doable in a long summer day?flickr

I seem to remember that at least some of this route was shown in a well known Land Rover mag - must go and search in the pile marked ''To be filed when nothing else to do.''
