Anyone one know why and what it means? “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

blonde moment didn't see the D4 bit....
The AM A is something to do with autostore for the AM I think........
AM1 and AM 2 is probably the same as for the FM 1 & 2? Just more locations I think. From reading the manual it states "Each waveband has 9 preset positions."
Selected waveband display, FMA, AMA and LWA. Touch to select for Autostore.
• If no stations are currently stored on the presets, select this soft key to store up to 9 of the strongest stations on the current waveband (the radio will mute during this process).
• If preset and autostore preset stations are already stored, a long touch will start a new autostore process Faultmate MSV2 MultiVehicle

Still confused.
Do UK ones have three am brands (MW, LW and another one)? “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Probably 3 lots of presets. I have DAB1, DAB2 and DAB3. What gets confusing with DAB is there are 3 groups of DAB channels, but you are not restricted to any one group with DAB1 etc.

AM A is autostore as mentioned above. Select it and then the tune button and it should auto scan and store the strongest local stations in your current location. The number will be how many preselect station buttons your system has. Sometimes you have to select AM A by the wave button which you then keep pressed for 2-3 seconds and it commences the autos scan and store sequence. If it don't fit the third time - try a bigger hammer

Thanks auto store now makes sense.
but why did they do this for am only and not fm? “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

I suspect because you have the auto tune feature in the DAB section as well now, in their wisdom LR thought f k FM
Bit of a pain, if like me when in Norfolk, DAB, (or any signal for anything for that matter), is extremely variable to non-existent. So FM it has to be. If it don't fit the third time - try a bigger hammer

DAB+ is an option in the Au model, which I got. But you lose AM.
