Had that when I bought the car. It worked out that the previous owner had had a puncture (screw) and just pumped up the air and used one oh those goofy puncture repair crappy sprays. In the end, when I had all 4 changed the left hand back one was ready to explode.
How old are your tires ?

+1 It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Disoc 3 2006 Rear tyres inner wear...? |
|
Can anyone tell me why my tyres on the rear keep wearing on the inside.I only do local runs, don't carry heavy loads and only cover approx 5,000 miles a year. To date I have had the original tyres and a new set 2 years ago, fronts are ok.
I note that in America it is a very common problem with some owners not getting 10,000 out of a set. They take out an insurance with the dealers to get the tyres replaced free of charge.
Is this something Landrover UK need to have a look at?

As above. The wheels aren't on straight. You need to have 4 wheel alignment done at a dealer or proper LR independent. VIN: A175A328***

Four wheel alignment - properly done in Tight Tolerance Mode.
Correct tyre pressures.
To get good tyre life you should consider which tyres are right for your use. Talk to Andy at site sponsor AJS:-

After the scorpions on the car from new lasted only 9k miles I fitted GG AT tyres on Andy's advice.
It looks as if I'm going to get c 60k miles from a set of 4 GG AT2s; I don't drive like Daisy, the car is BAS remapped, but I do anticipate problems & avoid hard braking. Changed front pads at 45k miles, rears look good for another 10k.
