D4 Spare Wheel Question
This maybe a daft question (mine usually are)
having been running on my silly space saver thingy for the last week I've now bitten the bullet and replaced my shredded 20" scorpion.
I am thinking of binning the space saver with a view to getting a 'proper' spare.
So the question is, if I get a 19" spare will it cause any problems (are the external diameters of the 19s and 20s the same??)
I assume a full size 19" or 20" will fit in the spare wheel well. 2000 D2 TD5 - big red tractor no longer with us
2006 D3 - no longer with us and sadly missed
2010 D4 alas no more, but a lovely colour (Nara)
2016 D4 departed
2022 DiscoSport 45mpg, but its not a D4
As for differing sizes, so long as your on the standard fit 20" tyres ,not on the 285/50's that some members run on, then the 19" will be ok for your spare
20" wheel = 508mm
19" wheel = 482mm
275/45 = 123mm
255/55 = 140mm
20" total 631mm
19" total 622mm
Bear in mind tyres have between 8mm and 2mm tread life, that's a 12mm variance as standard on the same size

Beanie - Superstar
Hope you didn't have to nip out in the rain with a tape measure.
Actually, on second thoughts, I'd rather you'd have done that than just had those numbers all in your head
