I just did this to my '06, and it was a fairly easy thing to do... One thing I never got a straight answer on was whether to refill the transmission fluid and use the fill hole on the side, or the one in the bottom of the pan. I just did my temp reading and fill on the side fill hole, and have measured the pan temp a dozen or so times after driving and all seems well (not overheating - due to too much fluid). One thing that made it a little easier to fit the metal pan was to remove the small plastic "hood" over the fill port, but lay it in the pan, and reach up and reattach it once its in place. I also used an anaerobic gasket sealer on the pan before tightening it down. A small ratcheting wrench was worth its weight in gold for this mod:

so far so good!

Sorry to revive an old thread Embarassed

Can anyone tell me if this is an alternative to Megaflush? I know my Indy offer this as an option and as it looks like the motor is gonna be in there soon I might get it done as it's up to 110k now.

Thanks. Thumbs Up
