Hello all,
have just fitted a Kaymar twin wheel carrier, though an interesting job.... and looks fantastic; my question is how do you stop the sensors going of in reverse? and yes I have fitted the anti sensor go off plates yet they still do! any thoughts or experiences?
Kindest Regards
Paul

My reverse sensors used to go off regularly if I just had the tow bar fitted - most annoying.
I've now fitted a rear wheel carrier to the original bumper bar - and now one of the sensors is obscured by the carrier latch - so I guess I'll have to disable that sensor, and will then see if the tow bar still sets it off.
All I can say is - thank god for the button on the dash for turning the reverse alarms off!
cheers and good luck with a fix!

Thanks Simon,
How do you find the Mickey Thompson 275/65-18's?

Kenso - love the Mickey Thompson's - slightly noticable but only just - at 37 psi, they handle very nicely... not appreciably noisy...
cheers,

Any rubbing at all?

CaverD3 - if I hit a bump hard in nromal suspension mode, I get a little rubbing - but nothing that I'm at all concerned about (and given it's my wife's daily commuter - nothing that she's been worried about.).
Speedo was previously down by a few %, and now up by a couple of % - there's a change of about 6% overall - now when I'm doing 100km/h by the GPS, it's showing 102/103 on the speedo - acceptable tolerance for us.
Noise is not noticeable - yes, there is some increase from std road tyres - but I'm much happier knowing I have LT construction tyres on...
cheers,
