2007 HPFP belt change !!!

followed disco mickey,s guide on changing the rear HPFP belt and excellent it is Bow down
but the rear cover will not "wiggle" out no matter how much i try
got the cranckcase breather pipe on one side and the air conditioning pipes on the other and no matter how many times i Censored swear at it , it wont come out Big Cry
mine is a 2007 d3 and has 3 metal clips on the top of the rear belt cover
Is there a different method for 2007 cars ? or am I just being thick Whistle
Last night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself, where,s the f**king ceiling!!

2007 is different. The ledt hand side of the cover (as you look at it) pushes backwards first, past the CCV pipework, then wiggles out. It helps slightly if you undo the A/C pipe clamp bolted to the side of the battery box

its Vacum actuator of manifold flaps
(similar set up to famous BMW ones) but obviously less fragile Whistle

Is that the dreaded "swirl flaps"?

looks preety much same Whistle
however had manifold off of 200+k car last week
and still looked in some way connected to manifold
on the other side if they would come loose the effect would be similar to BMW

LR never used the manifold flaps, as they caused too many issues, so they done away with the control system, but left the flaps in place Rolling Eyes

On the plus side, I have never heard of them falling off, as the BMW ones do. Thumbs Up
