Sorry Gareth, didn't read full content.
@DudleyD - yes AS, a total waste of time. Bought my brand new D3 there but service & attitude non existent.
For the last 8 years I've been giving all my business to Ripon Land Rover, I'm well looked after personally by Peter the Service Manager.
In fact it's in RLR for service this Wed.

Gareth, I had exactly the same fault on my D3 and was that bad that they locked on completely on the slip road onto a roundabout
I had to engage low range to move it, but like yours after resetting it went away but returned after a few miles
It was only locking on the front wheels I replaced the front pads and discs brake switch and stop tail bulbs ! All was free as it was supposed to be and ok for a while until I was trading it for my D4 when it locked up on the M6 on the way to collect my new car
I had to literally cool the front brakes down off with snow off the hard shoulder until they released enough for me to get it to the dealers for the trade in 8)
I have since heard off a friend of mine who had the same problem and he said he had one the same which was put down to an ABS fault !
Hope you get it sorted and would be interested to hear the outcome

Hi Gareth, mine was finally resolved be a second Brakeswitch replacement.
Apparently, if whilst installing the switch you pull/push the switch plunger before its correctly installed it doesn't calibrate properly and in my case was falsely sensing brakepedal movement.
Strangely only got to the bottom of it after last years Marquenterra Dunes trip where some of the guys watching me repeatedly fail to get up an invlineor two , noticed my brake lights coming on when I wasn't touching the brake pendal - remember that DSL?
It was as if something was sapping the power as I was trying to hurtle up the sanding bank - I was really starting to freak out at not being able to get up the hills where others where flying up and of course no one was taking the were they
