I switched the animation off at the weekend, and it certainly speeded up the response time....now just need to compare it to another to see if its similar... "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...
Locking rear E-diff
RLD spare wheel protector & sump guard
Extended roof rails
Series 111 mudflaps
Black side tubes,grill and vents
Timed climate remote
Hids4u interior lights
D4 Firenze my2012 HSE
D3 Java 2005 SE manual (sold, sadly, thanks for the memories)
1966 '88 Series 2a....still starts in the morning better than I do...

Peter, yours is 2013 like mine. I only find it slow when entering addresses, poi, or post codes. There is a considerable delay between pressing the button and it appearing in the box. All other aspects of the sat nav and other touch screen functions are fine.
Mine is quick when changing screens though, which is what I think this animation thing is all about.

I must admit I don’t enter post codes that often ... will have a play tomorrow
Slightly off topic, I have never once found a poi using telephone numbers feature ! Peter

Being a bit slow I am guessing
but I used the Sat Nav for the first time at the weekend since getting the car in March, I thought the MY13 Infotainement system had been fixed but guessing not
Like others, moving around between Audio/phone/ Nav is fine.
I entered a Post Code and could not believe how slow it was, it was almost a second delay between entering characters.
Everything else is brilliant D4 HSE - Aintree Green
D4 Orkney my13 - gone
Stornaway D4. Gone, Didn't like it at all
D3 silver manual. Loved my first LR

Interested in views, but I think it all relates to the cpu/gpu in the Infotainment system... I have been using the 4x4 screen to monitor the diff locks in the current icy weather & then found that when altering the radio volume there was a huge delay in the volume screen appearing (the round dial with the volume number in it), and that the gear selection display was slower in the infotainment screen than in the display in the dashboard. By contrast when running the Home Screen, the volume change screen responds instantly to input from the steering wheel controls.
It's very like the early days of computers when a processor had one core & could do one task at a time, rather than new multi-core processors & 64 bit OS's
Anyone else tried this & getting similar results?

Chaps, have all we MY12 owners given up on this on the basis that LR appear to be saying they're all the same and it's within normal parameters or similar ?
The slow response to inputs on music, phone etc are the one thing I dislike about our D4 - but I have to say that I dislike it very much !
Anybody out there know something I don't ?!
