Unless you hose off, soak and then wash with two bucket method and wool wash mitt it's pointless beanie
For the interior get a steam cleaner instead
As for the golf what model and engine did you get?
Strangely even though the same engine is fitted to bigger vehicles(tdi) only touran and bigger get an fbh and retrofit is £1k!! And they take a while to warm up unless you get them using a decent amount of boost soon after moving off when cold FFRR Owner, very nearly became a D3 owner
Test piloted a new D4 XS SDV6.. Gone and being forgotten i hope!!
D4 HSE 10MY
D4 XS 11MY
SSRR Destroyer *2

I had life shine on an Audi and it is a complete load of , as KP says unless you are going to treat it like a baby with ph neutral snow foam shampoo and lambs wool mitt 2 buckets and towel dry, your wasting good money.
You could buy some good detailing gear for half that and do just as good a job if not better yourself.

Greased Lightning and glass cleaner for me
The last 'lifetime shine' I had done convinced me it was a load of
Meguairs Ulimate Polish (the polymer one) on my sister in laws Audi TT & my Disco 3....two & a half months in the shine is still stunning & the washing water, mud grime & crap of the last bits of the winter havent seemed to marr the performance...at £27..00 per bottle it makes economic sense over spending in excess of say £200 0r £300 to some person putting something unknown on in maybe an unknown way.
I had Superguard applied to my XK paintwork (done before I had the choice) but managed to stop the leather upholstery treatment...leather doesnt ned polymers...just feeding & some tlc occasionally
I should have asked for some compensation as I found the Superguard water marked very badly...
Question: how can the cost of applying this be justified anyway...the solution thay apply isnt Swissvax & the labour cant be all that much to apply polish to a new presumably scqueaky clean vehicle...money for old rope in my opinion.BREXIT - done properly.
Right now ...We need Government - not Politics
Save the Dipstick Flagbearer-keep it simple, less likely to fail campaign-agenda items:Starting Handles, Acetylene Lamps.
Founder: Dipsticks-R-Us Inc
D3 HSE-perfectly formed, passenger friendly...has real DIPSTICK
Jag XK-but sadly no DIPSTICK...HUGE design fault
FL2 has DIPSTICK..."real comfort in rear seats"
VW Golf wondermobile (?)..has real DIPSTICK
Morris Minor..original DIPSTICK technology..and a real KEY.
