We're now actively looking at the issue. It seems to be very strange and difficult to track down as the server load is relatively steady throughout the day, only peaking when people get home after work at ~6pm UK time.
However it is obvious that the web page server software and the database server software keep failing.
What you may find over the next few days is that certain features of the site disappear for periods of time to help try and track down the root cause of the issue.

still seems a bit slow this morning.....not getting the blank white screen but there is still several seconds lag between click and action.............no error messages yetend of an era ....... maybe a Defender when it appears.......
