DG - Effectively you have the same as me as you will have the valve. I have seen them fitted to MY12 HSEs and there is a suggestion that they were on MY11s too, but not the one I checked this week.

Ade - Thanks, got that info from a German site but now with 2 confirmed no-fit for UK MY11 HSEs I guess it must have been for other markets or added towards the end of the MY. Found this elsewhere dated 2009 that shows the valve in situ for MY10 vehicles, at least in some markets:

Between the FBH and the battery box is a Bosch gadget with lots of plumbing.
My Timed Climate screen says I will get 20 minutes worth of heat, but not had a chance to time it yet because it hasn't worked since I got it back from the dealer last week when it went in to be fixed - they said it was a software update and was "fully operational now sir". I've put the battery on charge again to see if that will fix it.MY12 D4 HSE Ipanema Sand

The picture you have linked to is identical to the others in this thread - perhaps fooled by some of the pictures being taken from the side of the car?
Interesting that your MY12 has the plumbing too. I don't think I have a good handle on which MYs and specs have it and which do not.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

Just looking for the bits now. So far i have found some copper pipe, a central heating priority valve, some hosepipe and some jubilee clamps - is that enough?
Most of use you as a barometer as to what can be fitted to the car post-factory - surely this job is on your to-do list?
Having done a side by side comparison of a D4 without the valve (what I am most used to) and with the valve (my own MY13) the valve makes a massive difference to the amount of heat going to the cabin, but it provides zero pre-heat to the engine.

If I have read this thread correctly then, the MY13 XS does not come with all the necessary plumbing to work with the remote timed FBH, if so I now realise why mine does not blow warm air into the cabin after I had it fitted.
