D4 Carpet Mat Clips
Was transferring over my rubber mats today only to find that my D4 has a number of black forward-facing hooks on rectangular plastic mounts sticking out of the carpet.
Not seen this type of hook before so are they removable (didn't really budge when pulled and twisted a bit) or does this mean my rubber mats will not fit?
Had a look at an older D4 and its carpet was flat with the little screw-in toggles to secure that mats, just like I had on my D3.

Well I got a set of carpet mats, a three row set of rubber mats and mudflaps that I negotiated in along with my discounts of the D4 and all my accessories (with free fitting), oh and a cracking trade-in on my old D3.
Must be my persuasive manner ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

The new D4 OEM rubbers mats come with a central hole for the said clip ...but I had the same clip in my old 09MY and all I did with the older OEM rubber mats was lay them over the clip and fastened the screw in toggles ...didn't cause any problems.21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Given the hefty discount I think he would have killed me if I had insisted on mats!!Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

If they are the same as mine they should screw out lift up whilst turning. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Tried that but it didn't seem to work. Perhaps I am not trying hard enough but they seem quite solid.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948
