Slightly off topic, but I found it very considerate that this document was also going to be made available for all the blind and partially sighted people, presumably waiting on a car! Joined the BMWX5 45e group

Yes it does answer why there is frustration....and give a clear idea of the scale of the problem
These are telling lines on pages 4 \ 5
Quote:The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) and Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) said the shortage
of transporter capacity could lead to contractual requirements not being met, reduced customer satisfaction due to late deliveries, and cancelled orders.
The Department agreed with the majority of responses that there was a capacity
problem during the peak registration periods which meant that car manufacturers
and retailers were unable to reliably meet customer demand.
.........this should be good news for independents like Character though I guess. 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Yes, you would think that Character would be picking up business from this situation. Maybe he would like to go and pick up my car .
If you remember our tour a few weeks ago, the sheer number of cars stored at Solihull presumably awaiting transportation, there was not an inch of space left, they were even parked on the flower beds!

Or you could pass it up to me and I'll have a play in the snow to check the TR gizmos work. Will try not to bash it but no promises.
