I have just wandered back through this thread and winger thought he had nearly got an answer. My question still is why have LR chosen not to activate it like the RR. My answer is still the same, the fuel tank is the wrong sahpe and the bucket they had to build in is not big enough to run the heater adhoc. My old RR it worked fine, but it did not have two fuel sensors like the D3 because the tank was almost rectangular as a 4x4 should be. The D3 is coffin shaped Shocked

Just been playing with mine as it is so cold (the pre-heater) and nothing, no matter what I do. My Vin has 32 after the A.

32? Sounds like a 2005 build, but only just.

Just got my disco 3 from new, a 2006 model. There is no option in the settings menu for either the pre cooling or pre heating.

As a recomendation from me one of my friends has just taken delivery of a brand new 06 model.

I will ask him if the option is there, and of course the FBH unit is actually fitted.

The reason I say this is I recently drove a Range Rover Sport Diesel, and was surprised when I looked under the bonnet to find it was not fitted.

Sorry,

Forgot to add that my car was updated on the software yesterday.

The option for pre heat is still in the menu.

I need to test if it works though.
