I swapped mine out last year Thumbs Up

Here's a pic, there is a ball joint on the inner end, these screw into the ends of the steering rack, and have 2 flats on for tightening, the old ones shown have no flats,, so you need stilsons or similar to remove Thumbs Up

You would not see any wear on them, it is the ball and socket that wear. Cheap enough to replace though Thumbs Up
