FBH sensor, where does it hide? |
|
Reason I ask is my FBH has started to work after years (mild years) of inactivity. It has now worked twice and only seems to want to play when the ambient temp is down to -7c or below. Until could of days ago the last time I remember it running was on the Oct 2010 D3C Pyrenees Jaunt when Bodsy thought he's smoke out the campsite by purging all the FBHs!!
Is it the same sensor as the one used by the car for the dash temp, which reads correctly? The FBH seems 14c out of whack as it's supposed to fire up at 7c or below. Not too worried re getting it fixed, I dont find it makes a jot of difference, but was wondering if this is the issue with the liberal smattering of FBHs not playing and might be a cheap and/or easy fix to try first. I just hope it's not the sensor behind the front bumper as that is a pig to get to.

Wonder what else would case it to take the accurate temp info but only fire up when it's well below target threshold? Controller out of whack?
In danger of getting way too techie here.
