I know the FBH problem has been discussed at length, as have the benefits of using the Webasto software to 'prime' the heater........but I can't find any mention of how long to run the prime function for.
I assume that priming the FBH simply turns on the FBH's fuel pump - but how long should it be done for, the software allows you to set a time of anything up to 60 seconds ?
I managed to get my FBH working last weekend, but since then it's stopped playing - thinking back to when I was playing last time, I think the 'coolant temperature' value on the software said that it was 70degC.......surely not, the D3 was stone cold !!.......where does the FBH get its coolant temp from ?

I think I read somewhere that the temp is based on minus 50. So subtract. 50 from yr 70 and it sounds more likely.
Fuel prime should not be more than about 20 secs. Volvo XC60 - does all that the D4 should have done

I was working on a RRS on Thursday the FBH was just not having it. Looked liked it had been locked out for a few yrs!!
Tried everything and then primed it for the full 60 secs and after a little pop, a LOT of soot came out and it fired up!!

20 should give enough fuel unless the pipe is empty. Otherwise it could catch fire. The answer is to work up, start with 15 and add 5 secs each time. Volvo XC60 - does all that the D4 should have done
