headlights just failed on the motorway...help!

I've dropped you a pm with instructions for removing the headlamp, you can see the metal strips in the ebay ad here at each side

Fuse list should be in the handbook and the cover of the panel, I'm sure there are spares there, I never used any. Joined the BMWX5 45e group

Hi All

Sorry for the delayed response.... after much faffing... removing glove box, testing fuses (its a real awkward one that is hidden behind the loom for the lights!) I got things sorted in sub zero temperatures in the car park at the airport...

The nearside bulb Had blown... and the Offside simply had a loose connection... simples

mind you the offside one has just blown today...(unless its the loose connector again) so just as well i bought a second lamp... I guess its what you expect as they had been fitted and run for the same length of time so you can expect them to fail at the same time (or close to each other at any rate)

BIG thanks for all your help and suggestions - I know know how to do one more thing to the D3...and it was much quicker then it was to do on my Defender Thumbs Up
