Here in the USA there is one particular guy recognized as the guru of off roading expertise...and he's made some videos! (No DG, not those kinds of videos)
Check it out here:

I think I've got that issue (LROi 06/06) kicking around in the "library"
If I can find it I'll drop you a line. I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Thanks all of you!!
Since I can not get hands on the LR magazine here, I bought some books and DVD's on the net.
Can't order any decent looking books/dvd in europe. I had to order them in the US. Amazon takes European Visa cards and delivery addresses, 4x4books did not take foreign visa cards and does not ship outside of the US....
Happy to have a sister in New York.
This is what I ordered:
Amazon:
1 "Four-Wheeler's Bible"
Jim Allen; Paperback;
Sold by: Amazon.com
1 "Off-Road Recovery Techniques: A Practical Handbook on Principles and Use of Equipment (Off-road & Four-wheel Drive)"
Nick Cole; Paperback;
and
4x4books:
Bill Burke's Getting Unstuck 2 HR DVD Video UnstuckDVD
Rick Russell's 4 Wheeling Basics - DVD Video
Thanks for the help!

Karl,
Great that you were able to source some good reading. I also recommened that you try and track down a 4wd club - going out and learning and practising recovery is best done with people who really know what they're doing - get it wrong and you can end up in an even worse situation - get it right, and you have an enjoyable day.
All the best - and as they say - keep the shiny side up!
cheers,

Hi,

I do a fair bit of international buying from Ebay, via Abebooks, and via various forums and find that the US is still quite isolationist in that about 50% of traders won't sell/post outside the good ol' US of A.
BAck on topic..... try Abebooks http://www.abebooks.com/servlet/SearchEntry
to search for 4x4 books rather than Amazon as they WILL have books in Europe that will be of help. regards
Peter

I went to a dealer event today sponsered by LR. I asked on of the LR instructors about the front and back recovery point on the LR3. he said he has done kenetic recovery (some very tough ones) with no issues or damage to the vehicle.
