my d3 center box has a electric thing on the inside if the lid whats it for also how do you use it thanks

there is a green and red phone on the wheel and i can call and receve calls

Sounds like you have the bluetooth phone enabled, some have the facility to have a connected phone in the centre cubby box lid too Altox GSM FBH controller thread

The center box console thing is a connector for a telephonecradle.

There was a line of Nokias, that could be connected by that socket, if You had the corresponding cradle.

It´s quite an old telephone, but occasionally they are on sale on the "evil bay", and sometimes even together with the cradle.

But I guess, since You have the bluetooth, You are using your "slim white digital phone" instead.
