XYZ sensor giving up? advice please, thanks

hi all again,

I can sense my XYZ sensor is going, ive had to reset it like 4 times in the space of 3 days, every time i drive a little aggressive, or put my foot on the gas fully down, it takes like 2-3 seconds and then gets to 2000RPM-2500RPM and then suddenly picks up the speed and then the yellow brake light on the dash appears, hoping this isnt a gearbox issue. happened on 3rd gear this morning, and 5th gear yesterday. i have ordered an EGR blank kit so will be fitting that in, but wondering if there's anything else, just hoping it aint the actual sensor because i think you have to remove the gearbox and costs approx £700-800.

please let me know your experiences and thoughts, any help would be great to fix this issue, beautiful car just has a fair amount of things that show up here and there. just last week it decided to stay on 'suspension lowered' for like 50 mins, then luckily dissapeared and havent seen it since.

thanks a lot for taking the time to reach through my posts

Your clutch is slipping. I've got a similar thread on here at the moment, because I get clutch slip occasionally. When the clutch slips it throws the x-y sensor out.

ahh, thanks for that, so the solution is replacing the clutch? i read yours was recently replaced, what did you do? the bad thing is, along with this, parking sensors, reverse lights and other things dont function.

please let me know,

I haven't done anything to mine yet, as I'm not convinced the slipping is a worn out clutch, it may be a hydraulic issue.

If I get any more info, I'll post it here. Thumbs Up

Mine would lose calibration once a month or so. It gradually got more and more frequent. I wasn't until it was doing it once or twice a week i noticed the clutch occasionally slipping.
I got every last mile out my clutch, and only just made it to the garage!
Since having my clutch replaced its not done it once.

Check steering wheel/wheel alignment

I replaced my tie rod ends and did a quick wheel alignment using a pocket tape, just to get me
Down to my local tyre shop for a proper wheel alignment.

I had your symptoms,
At low speed everything was fine, then when I accelerated i got the flash lights of doom.

When I dropped the car off at the shop, I told them to centre the steering wheel first and then align the wheels.

I had no more problems after this.
