bluetooth intermittenly connecting? |
|
Hi everyone, I've got a blackberry 9300 and it only seems to connect with the D3 once in a while. Whenever I get into the vehicle it trys to connect but fails then randomly it sometimes connects. Any ideas? I've tried changing all the settings on the phone to see if that makes a difference but to no avail.
Any ideas would be greatfully received!!

I used to have a bold, and found that upgrading the Bluetooth module to the one from the D4 was the best solution.
Wiggs has created a good guide if how to do it, and I got my module from TLO.
I have since upgrade the blackberry to an iPhone (it will happen to everyone eventually!) and that too works well with the D4 module.
There are a lot of advantages to the D4 one, and I'm sure someone will list them soon, but I think phone book with mobile and home phone listings is one of them, as well as sound quality.

Just to inform you and to let all know:
I have the hand free of the car, LR original module and a small belkin bluetooth receiver that is plugged to the aux input. One phone calls and the other audio (music) streaming.
As i have a lot of parrots spread installed in many different cars parked one near other, sometimes my phone links to the wrong one and i have to re-link it to the correct one by hand.
As every single bluetooth piece have its single id number but as the parrot model is the same (so is the name it stores when pairing), its fine to rename the correct one in the list of linked devices in the bluetooth menu in the phone to know to which you must link at every occasion.
BUT,
In the D4, i have two bluetooth devices, that could live together and work in paralell at the same time so well, phone change over pretty well to one or the other as needed, but because i have the parking multipairing problem i had renamed the D4 name to LAND ROVER_TELEPHONE and the audio receiver to LAND ROVER_HIFI AUDIO to easy pick up in the screen.
Wrong!! It causes a mess, bluetooth in the car suddenly closes, reconect, closes, no contacts shown, and the audio cuts the sound every 20 secs...
I update the D4 module: no joy.
So i revert the name i wrote into short names: LR PHONE and LR AUDIO.
Eureka!! All functions properly!!! I love electronics and its magic!!!
Maybe testing if changing the name get things better to you until a D4 module is provided (or exchanged to you by wiggs).
For me this trick works perfect.
