Can anyone help identify this connector

Evening All

While cleaning the MAP sensor this afternoon I noted this connector attached to the MAF wiring loom, it had been wrapped in black insulation tape that had started to fall off so I decided to replace the tape with self amalgamating. As you can see once I removed the old tape I found this:

Looks like a temporary 'fix' by a previous owner but it's not clear where it connects or why the terminals are bridged.

Thanks
Allan

Is it the bonnet switch? Can't tell the position from the photo, but if its on the left handside near the headlight it could be that the previous owner had a problem with a faulty bonnet sensor switch on the alarm and instead of replacing it just shorted the connectinons as in your pic.

Hard to tell but looks like the connector for the bonnet latch sensor.

If it is, it's not the first to be bridged!

Woody types faster than me!

Sensor appreciates a bit of WD40 cleaning which may bring it back to life if you want to try refitting it.

Cheers guys, I'll give the sensor a clean and see what happens.
