Drivers Seat Belt

A strange issue. But if the truck is on an incline facing upwards the seat belt will not allow us to move it, nor will it move if were driving up an incline!!!!!

But as soon as Im on the flat it works with no issues. I have removed the trims and checked for any tangles or snapped bits of plastic etc but nothing..........

Any idea's

or would it be easier to replace the belt?

If you're' talking about a steep incline, then I would say that's normal, just the inertia reel function doing it's job.

If it's on a shallow incline then maybe the reel unit is over-sensitive and needs replacing.

Shallow inclines and only the drivers side.

Sound like it could be faulty then, I wonder if they can get out of alignment somehow?

They can go faulty. One of my middle row ones did when the D3 was about a year old - it jammed fully retracted and wouldn't extend at all. Mother-in-law was sure I'd done it on purpose so she'd fall out on the way home! Dealer replaced the reel under warranty.
