Left channel gone in Aux mode?
Just a quick question to the wiring loom gurus on the site, I have lost audio from the Aux socket in the rear console to the left side of the car only. All speakers work fine on FM and CD.
I have had the socket out of the car and run continuity tests on the socket through to the connector on the rear of the board and all appears to be fine.
I had some rain through the car last month does the wiring path from the Aux socket head down through the sills and if so are there any connectors down there to get water logged?

On my base model D3 (poor man's low line stereo) there is a connector for the aux socket in the passenger footwell kick panel. I used it to add an aux socket to my D3 (since the base model doesn't have the aux socket)
Not sure if it's the same on the hi line stereo unit.Dennis

Thanks NightHawk is it under the carpet or actually in the sidewall, ie how easy was it to get to?

It's in the side wall. Basically where the door sill ends at the passenger footwell the kick panel starts.
Getting to it is very easy. IIRC you might need to remove or at least unclip the front part of the door sill plastic cover to remove the kick panel cover as it slips in under the front edge of it.Dennis

+1 for sockets on side wall under panel in passenger footwell. Had similar problem with mine - sockets and plug just needed reseating.
