Installing Screen

Hi All,

I want to install the screen in my 05 S for the 4 x 4 Info and for putting a reverse camera in, not for the sat nav aspect. Are the connectors in place where the screen would fit? If not how much of a mission is it to install these?

Its a big job to put the screen in and I am sure the connectors will not be there, you also would need a 6 cd changer as a starter and also some most cable to connect it up to the network, but even if you fit the screen in and a reversing camera the camera would not work when you select reverse you would need to install a gvif unit as well, unless you did the hack every time time you selected reverse.

You would also need to tell the car that a screen has been fitted by editing the ccf file.

Flack Thumbs Up

Thanks Flack,

I have the 6 cd changer already, and dont mind buying the gvif unit.

Do you know if there is a loom to purchase, or do the connections have to be found and soldered? I guess maybe incorrectly the data is from the most and the screen just requires power?
