Sounds very much like the drivers door actuator that needs replacing. I had to do one on mine recently.

The door latch is changeable, it's a bit tricky to do, but it can be done (2 pairs of hands recommended).

I would advise though, since I changed my door latch and the problem remains, to try and lube the cable to the interior handle, I believe there could be a source of problems there.

It only takes a few minutes to remove the door panel and gain access, so might be worth a try!

Well, after changing the latch, and lubing the cable, the problem still remains for me.

I think it could be something with the inner handle (wear maybe), so I'll try changing that.

Lubing the cable seems to have made the movement looser, but the problem remains, after using the inner handle, I have to manually push to black pivot in order for the latch to work.

Hope the handle is not too expensive.
