Replacing brake pads and discs

Hi
I was going to replace the rear pads and discs myself. Ive done it a few times on my old defenders and discos.
But my garage that does most of my regular work said something about having a bedding in setting on the computer.
Can any one tell me if this is correct or if hes just trying to talk me out of the job so that he can do it?
Ive only had the D3 for about 5 weeks so I'm still a bit green with the technical stuff Embarassed
Thanks

I did my fronts last week ,very easy bolts just bigger and tighter than the older landrovers
The back look a bit more involved but no big deal if you have the tools and body's bible
