I was looking into fitting a flip down DVD/TV in the car and came across this, not sure if anyone has tried this solution.

Retails for about £130 including 2 sets of IR headphones and the surround, plus delivery from US

Looks the nuts 8)
But......
Just read on their website that it needs a flat mounting area of 15" x 15" approx,so don't think it'll fit our cars where the interior light cluster is
They also state it to be mounted on a flat roof area and that the flip down angle would not be great enough if it did fit on the angled area of our roofs
Right i'm off to do some measuring,i must be able to make it fit, i love this product

The best way to integrate this would be to do the mod Al Cope undertook a while back ..... put the drop down where the alarm volumetric sensor unit is and incorporate the sensors into the drop down base plinth IMHO. Inside the housing for the sensors is a small amount of electonics that can be easily incorporated , just need to drill some holes for the sensors to mount in . by doing that you are mountingon the flat area of the headlining so all should be good even allowing for a 15" x 15" area , having measured it theat unit is huge !!!!
Still searching for one on ebay, got to be out there somewhere
