question for pete bell about egr blanking |
|
been on at my freindly indi changed gbox tbox and rear diff oil also plugged into his autologic and did a full system scan
whilst we were on with the above we chatted about the merrits of egr blanking and his rather large collection of failed valves on the shelf
he currently has reservations about blanking egrs on customers cars because of feed back from autologic
now they have told him that the ecu still see's a fault so still doesnt run 100% and an improvement will be made if you took off the blanks and fitted an working egr
now to me that doesnt stack up from what i have read on this forum but is there anything in it current thoughts at the moment is to plug in a pair of new egrs and cable tie them to the side and go for a spin and see how it drives or even test on a dyno for true proof either way but has anyone done this already
currently talking about eu3 engines only as fully aware of the software patch required for eu4 to be blanked Club original turbo

I dont know about the techicalities, but my egrs were blanked with perfectly good EGRs. the system did register EGR fault codes but I didnt notice any degredation...or improvement in anything to be honest, and the EGR error codes reported, didnt create other error codes through knock on effect.. yes mine is the same blanked before a fault occured and i noticed no difference at all and was just thankful my engine could breathe free without having to injest its own waste
it just makes me wonder why such a reputable company like autologic say such things Club original turbo
