Just about to fill up at Tesco and after a lot of reading I've decided to take the plunge and add the Two Stroke oil.
I'm gonna nip in and get Tescos own brand.
Is there more than one type they sell?
I understand it has to be:
low ash
mineral based
and FC rated
Is that all I need to know?

I'm presuming this isn't a trick question
If you are going to the afore mentioned store then first of all make sure it's a big store usually co located with filling station but not necessarily correct ? Extra ? I think they are called
Buy CASTROL ACTEVO 2T from the filling station ! NOT available in store
It is on the shelf with all the other oil
It says 2T on it
It's on offer has been for the past 6 weeks
That is the stuff you want !
250ml if ur putting half a tank of treacle in
500ml if ur putting the needle to the top
Do not quote me on that tho
If it blows up afterwards don't come looking for me with a warranty claim
Please post any findings good or bad once you have experienced,

Is it red ?
It's a small bottle of about 300ml I think ?
It should have JASO compliant lettering on the bottle use either
JASO FB
JASO FC
These two are mineral based
Do not use JASO FD ! This is synthetic Only dead fish go with the Flow !

It may or may not improve. There are a lot of people who wish their's would do 30mpg The best way to think of it is to provide better lubrication to the fuel system. Preventative maintenance even. Any gains in MPG are an added bonus My D3 Build Thread

If you are calculating fuel consumption, don't forget it can only be accurately done between "brimmed tanks" - don't forget to add the quantity of 2 stroke oil added to the fuel,
