I take it its the air compressor you're talking about? If so I'd do it on the drive.....

Are you buying a new one from Nick? Theres also a repair kit....(Depends whats wrong with yours of course Embarassed )

If I do buy, it will be from Nick. Have been a little put off by a garage but guess that's their job. Surely can't be that bad, and I guess you don't need software to get going once replaced? Was told suspension needs calibrating but I'm not disturbing the sensors... Could save £300

It's certainly no more than 2 hours to fit it, so £300 labour is a bit of a joke! £100 perhaps from an indy!

Just looked tonight. All bolts have undone easily although that top bolt is going to be a complete bar steward! Looks in the pics like a socket is used, but not sure I'll get one in. Used a 10mm spanner which was ok but I'll probs buy something a little longer over the weekend.

Car is clean under there so hopefully pipes will come out easily. Reading through, I guess I don't need to release the orange pipe??

Off to indie tomorrow to pay my £30 diagnostic then order bits from nick for Monday. He's off for the weekend but has organised just in case. What a star.

I changed mine myself a couple of years ago, had the car at off road height and backed onto a pair of ramps. I'd say have a go and save some money!

You shouldn't have to do any recalibrations but probably just resetting and clearing any fault codes once your done.

Evening Brian. Any faults will "clear" themselves if the compressor has just been getting too hot. Don't think its a must that they need clearing as they won't be active anymore..... Obviously they will be still there though.....

Thats my experience anyway and its worked ok Thumbs Up
