Air con
Hi All,
Just wondered if anyone has used the DIY aircon refill kits that Halfords sell (EZ Chill). I am thinking of trying one on my Focus first to see if they are any good, but would welcome any comments.

I've used one
Seriously - it was dead easy to use and got my sysstem up to presssure. Watch out if you have a HSE with rear aircon as a single can does not have enough gas to bring the whole system up from empty.
So far so good, it's certainly improved the cooling effect and at £24 (ignoring the cost of the gauge which is reusable and a worthwhile diagnostic tool, certainly a lot cheaper and more convenient than a garage trip. Only works if the rest of your system is generally OK though - it won't fix any underlying problems.
Double bonus at Halfords at the moment - you get a free can of AC cleaner worth £11.95 with each purchase of either a gauge or can of refrigerant.
Yer pays your money and takes yer choice - it worked for me
