Hi Fellow Disco drivers....
Just got a quote from Stratstones (southwoodford) for the 7 year belt change plus service...they are doing a special offer for 599 in case anyone out there needs it done.!!!
beat the quotes from some of the other dealers by a mile booked in for next week Friday!!!!

Better than $2670 (New Zealand) i have just been quoted. Works out to be approximately 1360 pounds.1995 V8 ES - SOLD.

well done ash its a deal thats been rolling around for a while and they keep saying its finishing every month but jump on if you can i did two months ago
watch out for the complimentary health check tho !! get a fixed cost for any items picked up as i got stung hard for some work to the front discs and pads ! MY05 SE D3 Manual my first LR what a car

I called them a few months ago about having the belts done and the service desk was hopeless at pricing. I think another member had had problems with them.
Went for the more expensive option and part exchanged the D3 for a D4D4 2010 HSE Santorini Black

D2 2001 GS - p/x to D3
D1 1998 - p/x to D2

made it clear I dont want any other work done prior to agreeing the work and price with myself...i;ll take the health check and get what ever may need changing privately...ordered the blanking kit from BAS too...gonna put that in once service is done...
Have you seen the post on TSL Oil fortifier from Hess?? sounds too good to be true though there are som positive post about it from other members....am tempted? what do you thin???

I was quoted 26796 NOK for the same here in Norway, around 2,811.67 GBP
if you dont get the service done at stratstones they will do it for £399 then buy the bits to do service yourself or see local indie and get it cheaper Goodyear Duratracs

I think the best people to answer that, are the ones who've actually bought it
On your 105K, have it done by a dealer, they have the proper tools for the job and know
what they are doing. And the price is that good, it isn't worth the risk to have it done elsewhere.
If you ask nicely most dealers will also change your idlers for free, if you supply them yourself.
You can buy those from The Large One.
That's what I did Hess bought idlers and water pump off Nick and stratstone was going to charge me £65 to fit them but in the end they did it for free, asked them for old parts back to assess them and they were all bagged up in the boot when I collected the car Goodyear Duratracs

I went to Stratstones Nottingham for a quote on service and belts. Was told I did not need the belts changed yet. Correct me if I'm wrong but, the last time I looked, I was the paying customer! So Stratstones of Nottingham I'll decide what I want doing to my vehicle.............and you've just lost a potential customer. Aah, the joys of being ex-Army with PTSD.......light blue touchpaper and stand well back
Therso if you are still looking I can recommend stratstone hull very impressed with them got mine changed 27/6 didn't bother with service but all in £399 I know it's a bit of a trek but if you are getting quoted silly money it's worth the drive also do cirtosy car Goodyear Duratracs
