arcan xl 3000 (or any trolley jack)

Looking through the instructions, I was unable to see any recommendations about storing the jack in the garage regarding the status of the release valve, ie do I leave it opened or closed, or does it not matter?

Thanks

Ive had a 1.5T Halfords trolley jack for about 25years now and always store it with valve closed - still works well and never changed the oil so im guessing it doesnt matter

Don't know what the official line is for the Arcan one but I just leave it shut, s'pose then none of the lifting pixies can escape. Whistle

Leave mine open but not for any particular reason, just finishes a job that way.

I have a Arcan xl3000 and I always tighten the handle after use as it stops the handle dropping to the floor or on to the side of a car if gentle knocked, in fact thinking about it I've always done this with all jacks that I Have worked with and never had an issue Thumbs Up
