EGR Electrical Connectors

Does anyone know where I could buy connectors of the type that will plug into EGRs?

Thanks

Garry

These are the connectors I am after - both male and female versions (plug and socket) - pics taken from the forum.

Hmm - by the lack of response I assume they are not available - Guess I will have to have a go at making some myself.

Garry, what do you want to do with them?

I want to remotely mount new EGRs up in the drivers side battery box so that they are electrically connected to the car and send correct signals to the ECU.

My EGRs have failed and I have blanked them using the BAS kit however when the old EGRs are connected I still get the engine management light (EML) on and codes for both EGRs. If I connect my new unfitted EGRs to the connectors I get no codes or EML so rather than go to all the hassle of installing the new EGRs onto the exhaust and having hassles in another 60,000km I want to instal them in a nice safe environment up behind the battery box so need to make up some cables to connect them there to the original connectors. At the moment I have them wrapped up in bubble wrap and gaffa tape and mounted on top of the engine either side of the engine cover.

I would prefer to use original style connectors if they are available rather than have to make some up.

Gotcha. Thumbs Up
Maybe you have to cut and splice the cable to put in an extension. Nicer if you can get the connectors though.

Nope - not going to cut anything - I will just make some connectors but would be easier if I could get some.

At this stage does not apply to my ECU software version but is under development with some testing done on my car.

Have tested the new EGRs before you move them remotely? Reason i ask is there might be a temperature differance thats asuming the ecu measure temp at the erg, but from my primitive tests the egr system is linked to allot of sensors and Your lucky not to get a limp mode or drop in suspp height tantrum from your D3?

Morning guys, car in for suspension issues and garage tell me new compressor, but then they say there is a problem with the "EGR Links" and it will cost me just under £900 (1000 CHF) for that fix. I swallowed hard!

What does the EGR do?

The error codes they gave me are...P140 E-00, P140 A-00 and P140 D-00

Scolliss more detail required from your Stealer why does the wiring need replacing? Remove the butterfly from the inletmonifold and fit blanking plates more info here: http://bellautoservices.co.uk/products/lan...nking-kit/
