Bought a new boot liner
I thought I had better look after the back of the car as we have a Springer Spaniel who loves mud, so I bought a Rhino boot liner. It's custom fit version designed for the car and you can opt for a tailgate flap etc. I think it was about £70 inc delivery, which I thought was pretty good compared to the offical LR liner. Apparently it's washable and you can even jet wash it.
I have no links with the company, but thought others might be interested.

Is your dog able to remain stable in the back or does he/she slip around on the corners?

He seem ok in the back, especially if he lie's down. The fabric is not slippery so he isn't sliding from side to side.
It has really saved the inside of the car and you can just sweep it out or remove it and jet wash it. It's not just good for the dog, you can stick muddy boots in the back and the mud just drys and brushes off the liner.

That looks brilliant. Every surface is absolutely protected by the looks of it.2007 Porsche Boxster (987) 2.7

It's held on with velcro at the sides and loops which fit over the headrests on the middle row of seats. I was dubious it would work, but the velcro does hold it.
