3-Flash indicators
Hi All
I have a 55 plate D3 and was wondering if there is a way of activating the one touch/3 flash indicators like on the later models (and most other modern cars)?
Thanks

D3 HSE-perfectly formed, passenger friendly...has real DIPSTICK
Jag XK-but sadly no DIPSTICK...HUGE design fault
FL2 has DIPSTICK..."real comfort in rear seats"
VW Golf wondermobile (?)..has real DIPSTICK
Morris Minor..original DIPSTICK technology..and a real KEY.

I just had an update of my MY05 for 3 flash indicator. IDS (dealer tool) was used. IDS can change the CCF on 3 flash indicator.LR D3 S Black, Auto TDV6

Yes, correct they use SDD. The story is the following: It was an Indy and tried to reprogram the automatic gearbox, which did not work (the reprogram). SDD came back with some fault, no clue why. The car still worked perfectly, but when the engine was started the windscreen wiper wiped 1 stroke (not always, once in 3 start).
We tried to reprogram with SDD twice, same result. Thus we got IDS out and reprogramed the box, it went OK, but the wiper movement was still there. Thus we reprogrammed the body and instrument as well, looked at CCF for good measure (this were the 3 flash was enabled) and eventually we had hard reset on the car.
Now everything back to normal and 3 flash works too.LR D3 S Black, Auto TDV6

you would have needed to update your BCM for your 3 flash ind to work as its not just a ccf edit on a MY2005

You can have mine.
What a total useless function IMO.
I prefer to say how many flashes I give not the car
eg after overtaking and being flashed to pull in by an HGV, [on m'ways etc], in my D3 I'd normally give one flash of the indicators as acknowledgement and thanks, once back in lane in front of him.
Cann't do that now in the D4, got to give a min of 3 flashes and look incompetant in working the flash stick!...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

After having mine enabled I'd agree... towing a caravan I, like many others, like to thank HGVs etc who flash me tit's okay to pull in after overtaking. Cant do that now unless I want to look incapable of working my indicators.
But then perhaps it's technically not legal to do it....
