Door Handle
I recently ripped off the my LR3's driver side door handle and upon further investigation I found that I not only cracked my plastic door handle but I also broke the "lever" that actually opens the latch so the door will open. I Have taken the interior door panel off and now I am staring at the window motor, speaker, etc. How do I get to the door handle from the inside of the door? Land Rover told me that they tape the glass up then take out the window motor assembly. How do I free the window without breaking something?

you need to wind the window down about half way. then get a couple of plastic strips (or alloy) with the end bent a little.
feed the strips down the inside of the window and open up the white plastic clips that hold the glass in place.
pull and wiggle the glass and pull upwards at the smae tiem - the glass should then come loose.
you also need to remove the window winder mechanism by undoring the 6 bolts, rotating 90degress clockwise and removing.Duncan

Renton: I got the handle off, now I need to get the assembly out and I think DiscoDunc explained it pretty good but I could use all the manuals you have on the subject. I am nervous about prying the clips off the glass because I have read some horror stories about people breaking those clips then not being able to replace them. If there is a way to to the job without putting plastic clips at risk I would love to hear it.
