I have 3 flash enabled on my D3, and can still give 1 flash as and when 8)
And even a 1 flash left / 1 flash right sequence as a way of saying "thank you" when towing my tin tent if I'm flashed when overtaking a slower vehicle !
easy peasy Never get mad - get even !!
06 D3 now gone to family member and still going strong at 265k
previous vehicles:
04 D2 TD5 - (clocked 189k from new)
52 X-Trail 2.2 SVE
various euro boxes !

Totally against a right flash when moving in to the left ... even just one flash.
Would rather stick to my automatic min of 3 left flashes. ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧
