Hi I have just gone from disco 3 to a 4. On the 3 you could list the traffic events but on the 4 I seem to struggle to get any it just says that there are no traffic events which can't be true. Am I doing something wrong ?
Any help would be great 2005 HSE just sold with 150k fantastic miles
Now My12 HSE in Orkney Grey, Black Leather, Steps, Day Time Lights,

Not too sure but I think you have to have a route planned before you get any traffic events. You then have the option to look at those on your route and elsewhere.

I seem to have the same problem too.
The only way I can use TMC is when there is a route under guidance.
And it seems you can not list all the traffic events like you could on our D3, which is a shame.
Also the TMC does not seem to be very quickly updated not sure if its the feed data or the way the new system works.
Last Monday on the M40 Southbound it left me stuck for hours with the Lorry Fire which closed the motorway at Gaydon.
I had no warning from my D4 Sat Nav TMC!! Nige - 2014 Disco 4 TDV6 HSE Luxury - Scotia Grey

TMC information is provided by a third party and therefore is only as good as their data and frequency of updates...check that it's tuned in to classic FM 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

We just completed the first long trip - from Kent to Nuneaton. We travelled on Friday afternoon and were troubled by bad traffic!
TMC did not work at all on the way up and only for a few seconds on the way down, when again, we were troubled by traffic. Didn't do anything different - it worked for a few seconds, got an update, and diverted us, then nothing again.
What gives? What should I do?
Rather frustrated by this - my previous car "just worked" and always had a browsable list of issues. The M1 was closed yesterday on our way down. We should have been alerted!
Thanks,
Andrew

Actually - I would really appreciate some help on this! I wonder if the system in our car is faulty. Like some others here, it just kept saying there was no TMC info available!
It did seem to work on holiday in Switzerland, so I wonder if it's failed since then?

Check menu 2 of the nav menu ..under TMC setup check that it's connected to Classic FM 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Hi - thanks for the hint! However, I checked, and...
I can't see anything for TMC setup. If I touch the TMC icon, there's nothing to tell it what station to connect to. Just options to turn it on and off and to decide what to do based on traffic info.
I would hope that the car would automatically search out stations that broadcast TMC info...
Thanks,
Andrew

I think that you just have to have ONE of your preset radio channels tuned to Classic FM fella. There is ( AFAIK) no option to tune to a radio station from the TMC menu I could be wrong though, It's happened before My17 Volvo XC90 Inscription

Hi all, and thanks for your help.
I have tried the suggestions. I actually think it is faulty.
Today I set presets to Classic FM, both FM and DAB. No TMC info available. However, if I look at the map I can see arrows, etc. overlaid on various roads. Doesn't sound right! It looks like TMC info is being received, but not logged properly in the system...
The other day, it also had no idea of the existence of a road that looked older than a year. I have a 2012 car, so would hope the nav was up to date!!!
I think a dealer visit is imminent...

Update....
I have been to the dealer and they have found nothing...
This is quite a problem for me because I just can't rely on TMC and I have to use my iPhone instead! That can't be right!
I have asked the dealer to log a fault report with LR - let's see what happens next!
Thanks,
Andrew
