The GVIF allows three a/v inputs plus reverse camera. So as long as it has av output, you can plug it in.
I've fitted TV's units, DVD players, multimedia players, iPhone connectors for customers, so depends exactly what you need.
When fitting TV's modules, recommend to have twin antenna modules with hi gain aerials for maximum effect.

Seems like a decent swap. I might even throw in a case for the phone if you deliver?2014 - D4 2010 HSE Nara Bronze
2012 - FL2 2009 GS Stornoway Grey
2001 - VW Passat Estate Inky Blue
1999 - Ford Mondeo Light Blue
1998 - Rover 25 Red
GVIF is surly the best way to go but you absolutely can fit an external source directly to the stock Nav w/o spending the Xtra $$$.
If you can solder it's free and simple to patch directly into the board under the FAKRA ports. If you don't want to open it up or can't solder they sell a killer adapter cable right here on this forums store
This Cable http://www.disco3.co.uk/shop/nav-screen-ca...e-p34.html will plug directly into your Nav monitor and allow you to plug in any A/V source. And it helps support the site
Here is a how-to you can piece together what you need from it.
