lanscamb, have a look on the bottle, ideally you want mineral oil, but semi synthetic appears to be OK, the JASO rating is the thing to check, again ideally FC rated, but FB is OK from my experiences, I have put 6L of mineral FB through and no problems Thumbs Up

Have ran a tankful through mine now with around 250ml of 2 stroke in. Car certainly seems to be pulling better and fuel economy up to 32mpg from 30. Could be the Placebo effect but certainly no side effects so far. Will report back in a month or ao after about 3000 more miles.

Beanie do you have a DPF on your car? as having re-read the whole thread again appears C is etter for cars wih DPF's , so not sure how good the low ash B stuff I found will be given I have a DPF.
 Cheers Ian

You want a C or D rating for DPF, and a B, C or D for non-DPF

I thought that this could add some spice to the two stroke debate from the SA point of view.
Here's a link, they referr to 2SO, but just another name for two stroke oil.

http://www.4x4community.co.za/forum/showth...2so+diesel

As this is only one of 13 posts on this forum, there was a lot of debating done.
