It takes a couple of tank fulls before you really notice the difference but notice the difference you will , just remember to use mineral type of 2 stroke oil at 5ml per litre.

Picked up a couple of litres from Asda for £4/l. Will compare there and back and what results I get.

I forgot to mention that we have also been adding the 2 stroke to our 3 transit vans and it having the same effect on those to, much quieter engins and increased mileage on each tank full. We are getting around 60 more miles per tank full as well.

The suggested ratio is 1:200, or thereabouts.

50ml to 10 litres
100ml to 20 litres
150ml to 30 litres etc...

I would suggest "an overdose" for the first couple of full tanks. I used 500ml for the first couple of tanks full.

Good luck

40L fuel = 400/500ml 2 stroke on average but reckon you would notice a difference with just 300ml Smile

How much is too much?

Hmm, okay so I got some mineral based two stroke this morning. Now I hasten to add this was early morning and I'm not an early morning person. I absent mindedly added the full 1 litre bottle whilst filling up the tank. It's the first time I've added 2 stroke and within the first journey I have noticed it's much quieter. However, by putting this much in, will I have adversely affected anything?

It won't do any harm, bit expensive though. Just fill up and dilute it a bit. Thumbs Up

Thanks B16.
All is feeling good with the disco. It certainly has reduced engine braking and has make engine a bit more pokey. Will be getting. Egr bypass done this month. Got the tsl on order. Trying to get a remap at a reasonable rate but that is more challenging.

TBH you only get what you pay for Whistle A cheap "remap" may cost you more in the long run, bite the bullet and get a tried and trusted one.

Ok just back from a couple of weeks in Cornwall 350 miles there and back. Added 250ml to a full tank for the trip down and averaged 35.5mpg. Car was fully loaded with the seats down as well. Added more as required with fill ups when down there (twice) and got 36.6mpg for the return leg. Didn't notice any difference in the general running but pleased with the mpg.

Cheers

Andy
