I wonder what would happen if I add some 2T to my wife's mornin coffee

It will do exactly what it does on the car, it will give her internals a good clean and will get rid of a lot of gunk. It will also lubricate everything and prevent any deposits building up Thumbs Up

Which equals more moaning and wining lol

You could put more 2T in the tank if you wanted it would not do any harm, it would just smoke more and smell nicer if you used castrol R..

Back in the days when we used to rebuild engines from the ground up and they had to be run in, I always used to on first start up empty about a pint of oil down the carb and squirt in the intake of a diesel whilst running, it used to fill the garage with smoke but helped the engine as some where that tight after rebuild we had to tow them to start the engine Shocked , but after ten mins running with oil through them you could start them on the starter... oh the good old days... now you don't even run them in..

But will it crank up her performance and make her cheaper to run?

Lastly, why on earth should so many forum members doubt Land Rover Whistle Whistle

Hi DaveT

we have the same debates raging here in South Africa between those who have actually seen the benefits of the use of 2sO on an opened engine with more than 180'000km on, and those (you get them everywhere) who seem to think they know everything.

It is always funny to see the effect of 2sO in diesel on a very cold winter's morning close to the Lesotho border in places such as Fouriesburg, Clarens, Caledonspoort etc where it gets down to -15 Deg C in Winter. When I start my 300Tdi on the first swing of the starter and it then runs round without any loud diesel clatter. Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

Then everyone comes running and asks why this old truck runs so quiet. Thumbs Up

No it will just make her run faster, (to the bog) Rolling with laughter

All diesel engines can be run with it added and will benefit from it particularly in later life. Thumbs Up

Filled up yesterday and bought some Actevo T2 whilst in garage (at £10 - impulse buy - will buy cheaper if continue to use)
Maybe placebo effect, but did seem smoother start this AM
