LRA came over. Tried out full lock at access height and there's loud knocking noise. LRA said normal height would not be an issue, so we tried that and sure enough it wasn't a problem. So nothing done today. I'll still go home and grease the lock stops. TDV6 SE

Same problem with mine and same "fix". I can't believe that a small amount of grease can have such a drastic effect!!. Well done all who gave this advice!!! Too many older Land Rovers to mention

The noise came back but not as loud. I then found that there are two stops on each wheel, one in front & one behind the wheel. Both greased and the noise is now gone. Ren Colyn

This brought back memories of the main LR dealer in Larnaca, Cyprus who told me that a whole new steering rack would cure the problem. 10 minutes on the forum plus 10 minutes applying the grease and the job was done.
