MTR's DeLaminating?
Has anybody seen this before:
Bought 5 MTR's approx 19 months ago and have been running on them through the winter months and done about 20K on them.
I am using 1 as a spare and the other 4 have been on the car at the same time but only this one is showing the degridation. There is still a good 6mm of tread left.
Anyone any idea's?
I will replace when winter comes.

Kept it until I changed the tyres at the normal time. I'd need to check in the shed, but I may have put it on one of my spare spares Bodsys Brake Bible

Tyre certainly shouldn't do that, should it?
It wouldn't inspire me with confidence as I was trundling down the motorway.
I'd take it up with Goodyear direct and see what they have to say about it.

I checked my set of MTR's yesterday. No sign of that, but one of them has some very slight cracking on the sidewall (outer). I suspect that this was caused due to them being kept stacked. My gut feeling is not to use it

Talk to Goodyear via the shop that sold them to you is normally the best road, you never know your luck.

I also noticed some cracking just on the shoulder between sidewall and tyre tread blocks.

Please keep us informed. My MTR's must be 5 years old now, but interesting that you also have what sounds to be very similar cracking on younger tyres.

If you buy tyres from a legitimate supplier they send them back for you under complaint, they (Goodyear) have the last word but are fair, this is all part of our service.
Sorry but "you pays your money and takes your chance"

I bought my MTR's from a "legitimate" dealer, but that was around 5 years ago. Would Goodyear even consider replacing a tyre of that age? Would be lovely if they did, but I'd be surprised.

I should add that I mean when buying from non legitimate sellers on places like Ebay etc.
